For coaches
Keep your athletes in the calculator, load any of them into a race with one click, and take one file with every plan in it. Free while it is being built with the coaches using it.
The numbers themselves are not the hard part. Published guidance gives you 60 to 90 grams of carbohydrate an hour, more for a trained gut, and a fluid range that moves with the temperature. Any coach knows that.
The work is turning it into something an athlete can act on: this many gels, at these times, leaving that aid station with this much fluid, for a body of this size on a course with this much climbing. Doing that for fifteen athletes before a race weekend is an evening. Here it is a few minutes.
Every figure is sourced on the main page, including where the research runs out and coaching practice takes over, so you can check what you are handing over rather than trusting a black box.
Being straight about it, because you will find out in ten minutes anyway:
Those are the four things most likely to be built next, and which one comes first depends on what coaches actually ask for.
Not money yet. I want to sit with the numbers you get and hear where they are wrong. If you coach trail or ultra runners and you would use this before a real race, write to me and tell me what broke.
When it does become paid, it will be somewhere around 20 euro a month, coaches already using it will get a long run of it free, and I will say so well before anything changes.
